# QR Code vs QR Code Master

QR Code and QR Code Master both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of QR Code Master's written reviews are positive against 33% of QR Code's. QR Code Master also leads on chart position (#77 vs unranked). QR Code's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 1.8K) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Code sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and QR Code Master sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for QR Code against 4.4 for QR Code Master. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code has 13K ratings behind it against 1.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of QR Code's written reviews are positive against 71% of QR Code Master's.

QR Code ships an update every 9 days, QR Code Master weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
