# School Planner vs Study Timer & Time Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Study Timer & Time Tracker at 85% against School Planner's 50%. Study Timer & Time Tracker also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 8 days). School Planner's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. School Planner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Study Timer & Time Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

School Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of School Planner's written reviews are positive against 85% of Study Timer & Time Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

School Planner ships an update every 8 days, Study Timer & Time Tracker every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
