# UGS vs App Lock

The clearest difference is ads: UGS at none against App Lock's shown. UGS also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). App Lock's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UGS ships an update monthly, App Lock every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
