# Kaebox vs Holen

The clearest difference is rating: Kaebox at 4.8 against Holen's 4.0. Kaebox also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (236 vs 4). Holen's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Holen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Kaebox asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kaebox holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kaebox has 236 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Kaebox's written reviews are positive against 100% of Holen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kaebox ships an update every 4 months, Holen every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
