# Deword vs Cubes Control

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Deword at 100% against Cubes Control's 55%. Deword also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Cubes Control's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (27K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cubes Control holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cubes Control has 27K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Deword's written reviews are positive against 55% of Cubes Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Deword ships an update every 2 weeks, Cubes Control every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
