# DAYU vs Countdown Widget

DAYU and Countdown Widget both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of Countdown Widget's written reviews are positive against 44% of DAYU's. Countdown Widget also leads on ratings volume (44 vs 8) and device support (4 vs 2). DAYU's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DAYU sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Countdown Widget sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for DAYU against 4.4 for Countdown Widget. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Widget has 44 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of DAYU's written reviews are positive against 81% of Countdown Widget's.

DAYU ships an update every 9 days, Countdown Widget every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
