# Reminder Text vs Cue

The clearest difference is ads: Cue at none against Reminder Text's shown. Cue also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). Reminder Text's advantage is ratings volume (132 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reminder Text sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Cue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reminder Text has 132 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Reminder Text's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cue's.

Reminder Text ships an update every 6 weeks, Cue every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
