# Top Scanner vs Erase Objects

The clearest difference is ads: Erase Objects at none against Top Scanner's shown. Erase Objects also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (295 vs 8). Top Scanner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Top Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Erase Objects sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Top Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Erase Objects has 295 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Top Scanner ships an update every 2 months, Erase Objects every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
