# Top Scanner vs Argon VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Top Scanner at 5.0 against Argon VPN's 4.5. Top Scanner also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Argon VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (357 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Top Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Argon VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Top Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Argon VPN has 357 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Top Scanner ships an update every 2 months, Argon VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
