# Zettelbox vs Link

The clearest difference is rating: Zettelbox at 4.3 against Link's 3.0. Zettelbox also leads on ratings volume (24 vs 1). Link's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 31%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zettelbox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Link sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zettelbox holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zettelbox has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Zettelbox's written reviews are positive against 50% of Link's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Zettelbox ships an update every 2 weeks, Link weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
