# Flash Cards vs Mathvo

The clearest difference is price: Flash Cards at Free against Mathvo's $8.99. Flash Cards also leads on rating (4.6 vs 2.0) and update cadence (monthly vs every 21 months). Mathvo's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (75% vs 57%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Flash Cards is free to download; Mathvo costs $8.99 up front. Flash Cards sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Mathvo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flash Cards holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flash Cards has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Flash Cards's written reviews are positive against 75% of Mathvo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flash Cards ships an update monthly, Mathvo every 21 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
