# Nested Folder Notes vs Msgly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Msgly at weekly against Nested Folder Notes's fortnightly. Msgly also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nested Folder Notes sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Msgly sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nested Folder Notes ships an update fortnightly, Msgly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
