# HP LIFE vs 1st Step

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HP LIFE at none against 1st Step's 4. 1st Step's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 1st Step sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month. HP LIFE asks for nothing beyond the download.

HP LIFE ships an update every 2 months, 1st Step every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
