# Hot Novel vs NovelCloud

The clearest difference is rating: Hot Novel at 5.0 against NovelCloud's 4.7. Hot Novel also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). NovelCloud's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hot Novel sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and NovelCloud sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hot Novel holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NovelCloud has 19 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hot Novel ships an update every 3 weeks, NovelCloud every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
