# The Greater vs ColorSweeper

The clearest difference is rating: The Greater at 5.0 against ColorSweeper's 4.3. The Greater also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). ColorSweeper's advantage is ratings volume (469 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Greater sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ColorSweeper sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Greater holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ColorSweeper has 469 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of The Greater's written reviews are positive against 77% of ColorSweeper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
