# DebateBase vs Whipd

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DebateBase at 100% against Whipd's 41%. DebateBase also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and ads (none vs shown). Whipd's advantage is ratings volume (5.2K vs 14) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DebateBase sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Whipd sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DebateBase holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whipd has 5.2K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of DebateBase's written reviews are positive against 41% of Whipd's.

DebateBase ships an update every 5 weeks, Whipd every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
