# Boosty vs Privacy Protector Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Privacy Protector Pro at free with in-app purchases against Boosty's subscription. Boosty's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (641 vs 4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boosty sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Privacy Protector Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Boosty holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boosty has 641 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Boosty ships an update weekly, Privacy Protector Pro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
