# Word Match 3D vs PPSSPP

The clearest difference is update cadence: Word Match 3D at every 2 days against PPSSPP's every 4 weeks. Word Match 3D also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). PPSSPP's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 36). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Match 3D sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and PPSSPP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PPSSPP holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PPSSPP has 2.8K ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of Word Match 3D's written reviews are positive against 72% of PPSSPP's.

Word Match 3D ships an update every 2 days, PPSSPP every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
