# myORCA vs Vuefinder

The clearest difference is rating: Vuefinder at 5.0 against myORCA's 2.5. Vuefinder also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). myORCA's advantage is ratings volume (384 vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vuefinder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: myORCA has 384 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

myORCA ships an update every 2 months, Vuefinder every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
