# VOD Saver vs Moblin

VOD Saver and Moblin both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Moblin's written reviews are positive against 51% of VOD Saver's. Moblin also leads on ads (none vs shown). VOD Saver's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 76) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.4). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VOD Saver sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Moblin sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for VOD Saver against 4.8 for Moblin. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VOD Saver has 1.9K ratings behind it against 76, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of VOD Saver's written reviews are positive against 88% of Moblin's.

VOD Saver ships an update every 10 days, Moblin every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
