# Contrax vs Subbie

The clearest difference is update cadence: Contrax at every 5 weeks against Subbie's every 6 months. Subbie's advantage is iOS requirement (18.2 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Contrax sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Subbie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contrax ships an update every 5 weeks, Subbie every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
