# Backgammon Galaxy vs Backgammon Clubs

The clearest difference is ads: Backgammon Galaxy at none against Backgammon Clubs's shown. Backgammon Galaxy also leads on review sentiment (31% vs 19%). Backgammon Clubs's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Galaxy sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Backgammon Clubs sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Clubs holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.9K and 4.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Backgammon Galaxy's written reviews are positive against 19% of Backgammon Clubs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Galaxy ships an update every 2 weeks, Backgammon Clubs every 6 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
