# Backgammon Galaxy vs Backgammon Pro Online

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backgammon Galaxy at every 2 weeks against Backgammon Pro Online's every 2 months. Backgammon Galaxy also leads on chart position (#141 vs unranked) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 341). Backgammon Pro Online's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Galaxy sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Backgammon Pro Online sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Pro Online holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Galaxy has 1.8K ratings behind it against 341, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 30% and 30% positive.

Backgammon Galaxy ships an update every 2 weeks, Backgammon Pro Online every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
