# Newie vs SEEK Pass

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Newie at 96% against SEEK Pass's 61%. Newie also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). SEEK Pass's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Newie holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SEEK Pass has 571 ratings behind it against 93, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Newie's written reviews are positive against 61% of SEEK Pass's.

Newie ships an update every 2 weeks, SEEK Pass every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
