The clearest difference is update cadence: DVR 3.0 at every 2 months against GTDVR's every 7 months. GTDVR's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GTDVR ships an update every 7 months, DVR 3.0 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
