# AirChat vs Tactik

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tactik at 100% against AirChat's 47%. Tactik also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). AirChat's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AirChat sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Tactik sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AirChat holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AirChat has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of AirChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tactik's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AirChat ships an update every 5 weeks, Tactik every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
