# Surplife vs Stellar Lighting

The clearest difference is rating: Stellar Lighting at 5.0 against Surplife's 4.5. Surplife's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stellar Lighting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Surplife has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Surplife ships an update fortnightly, Stellar Lighting every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
