# Space Papers vs Papers please

The clearest difference is rating: Papers please at 4.5 against Space Papers's 3.8. Papers please also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Space Papers's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space Papers sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Papers please asks for nothing beyond the download.

Papers please holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Space Papers's written reviews are positive against 33% of Papers please's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
