# Maisonette vs Varnish Lane

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Maisonette at 2.8K against Varnish Lane's 1. Varnish Lane's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Maisonette against 5.0 for Varnish Lane. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maisonette has 2.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
