# Toastique vs Alfalfa

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Toastique at 86% against Alfalfa's 20%. Toastique also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (95 vs 15). Alfalfa's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Toastique holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Toastique has 95 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Toastique's written reviews are positive against 20% of Alfalfa's.

Toastique ships an update every 6 months, Alfalfa every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
