# Surferz vs Which Kite

The clearest difference is update cadence: Which Kite at every 9 months against Surferz's every 39 months. Which Kite also leads on device support and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Surferz sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Which Kite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Surferz ships an update every 39 months, Which Kite every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
