# Hidden Objects vs Big City

The clearest difference is ads: Big City at none against Hidden Objects's shown. Big City also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Hidden Objects's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidden Objects sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Big City sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hidden Objects holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hidden Objects has 13K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Hidden Objects's written reviews are positive against 46% of Big City's.

Hidden Objects ships an update every 3 weeks, Big City every 9 months. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
