# Fora Communities vs RinkRat

The clearest difference is ads: RinkRat at none against Fora Communities's shown. RinkRat also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Fora Communities's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
