# Fora Communities vs ShotCentral

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fora Communities at none against ShotCentral's 2. Fora Communities also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 6) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). ShotCentral's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 26%). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShotCentral sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Fora Communities asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fora Communities holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fora Communities has 1.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Fora Communities's written reviews are positive against 50% of ShotCentral's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fora Communities ships an update every 9 days, ShotCentral weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
