# JD Flashcards vs Flashcards Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: JD Flashcards at 67% against Flashcards Maker's 24%. JD Flashcards also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Flashcards Maker's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (34 vs 5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JD Flashcards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flashcards Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashcards Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcards Maker has 34 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of JD Flashcards's written reviews are positive against 24% of Flashcards Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

JD Flashcards ships an update fortnightly, Flashcards Maker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
