# NextPlate vs EzyFoods

The clearest difference is rating: EzyFoods at 5.0 against NextPlate's 3.9. EzyFoods also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). NextPlate's advantage is ratings volume (83 vs 3) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EzyFoods holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NextPlate has 83 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NextPlate ships an update every 10 days, EzyFoods every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
