# Pull the Pin vs Balls Release

The clearest difference is rating: Balls Release at 4.3 against Pull the Pin's 3.5. Pull the Pin's advantage is ratings volume (482 vs 6) and review sentiment (15% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pull the Pin sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Balls Release sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Balls Release holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pull the Pin has 482 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Pull the Pin's written reviews are positive against 0% of Balls Release's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pull the Pin ships an update every 2 months, Balls Release every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
