# Alef Student vs Paragon

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Alef Student at 38 against Paragon's 5. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Alef Student against 4.2 for Paragon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alef Student has 38 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
