# mhPBX vs VirtuNum

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: mhPBX at none against VirtuNum's 6. VirtuNum's advantage is ratings volume (4.1K vs 17) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VirtuNum sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. mhPBX asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for mhPBX against 4.6 for VirtuNum. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VirtuNum has 4.1K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.

mhPBX ships an update every 4 months, VirtuNum monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
