# Notes Air vs Scanner ㅤ

The clearest difference is ads: Notes Air at none against Scanner ㅤ's shown. Notes Air also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and device support (4 vs 2). Scanner ㅤ's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (96 vs 8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes Air sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scanner ㅤ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scanner ㅤ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scanner ㅤ has 96 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Notes Air's written reviews are positive against 75% of Scanner ㅤ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notes Air ships an update every 5 weeks, Scanner ㅤ every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
