# Journal Air vs Secure Apps

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secure Apps at every 3 weeks against Journal Air's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal Air sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Secure Apps sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
