# MyForney vs Axon

The clearest difference is monetization model: MyForney at ad-supported against Axon's subscription. MyForney also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Axon's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyForney holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Axon has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyForney ships an update every 7 months, Axon every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
