# GPS Live Navigation vs Street View Maps

The clearest difference is rating: Street View Maps at 4.4 against GPS Live Navigation's 3.7. Street View Maps also leads on ratings volume (851 vs 168). GPS Live Navigation's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 17%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Live Navigation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Street View Maps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Street View Maps holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Street View Maps has 851 ratings behind it against 168, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of GPS Live Navigation's written reviews are positive against 17% of Street View Maps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GPS Live Navigation ships an update every 8 days, Street View Maps weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
