# Vimcal vs LiveTask

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Vimcal at 469 against LiveTask's 1. LiveTask's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LiveTask holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vimcal has 469 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vimcal ships an update every 8 days, LiveTask every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
