# Ruud vs PAT

The clearest difference is rating: PAT at 5.0 against Ruud's 4.6. PAT also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Ruud's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PAT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ruud has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ruud ships an update monthly, PAT every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
