# About Timers vs 1Stopwatch

The clearest difference is ads: 1Stopwatch at none against About Timers's shown. 1Stopwatch also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). About Timers's advantage is ratings volume (57 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. About Timers sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and 1Stopwatch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

1Stopwatch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: About Timers has 57 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of About Timers's written reviews are positive against 100% of 1Stopwatch's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
