# Notes+ vs SKUL

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SKUL at none against Notes+'s 35. SKUL also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Notes+'s advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (3.2K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes+ sells 35 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. SKUL asks for nothing beyond the download.

SKUL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes+ has 3.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notes+ ships an update every 9 days, SKUL every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
