# Notes+ vs Total Academy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Total Academy at none against Notes+'s 35. Total Academy also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Notes+'s advantage is ratings volume (3.2K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes+ sells 35 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Total Academy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Total Academy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes+ has 3.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notes+ ships an update weekly, Total Academy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
