# KineMaster vs TapStepSnap

The clearest difference is rating: KineMaster at 4.7 against TapStepSnap's 4.0. KineMaster also leads on ratings volume (43K vs 4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). TapStepSnap's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KineMaster sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $8.49 per month. TapStepSnap asks for nothing beyond the download.

KineMaster holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KineMaster has 43K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of KineMaster's written reviews are positive against 100% of TapStepSnap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KineMaster ships an update every 9 days, TapStepSnap every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
