# TV Remote +ㅤ vs Universal Remote

TV Remote +ㅤ and Universal Remote both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of Universal Remote's written reviews are positive against 29% of TV Remote +ㅤ's. Universal Remote also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 128). TV Remote +ㅤ's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote +ㅤ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Universal Remote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Universal Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Universal Remote has 1.1K ratings behind it against 128, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of TV Remote +ㅤ's written reviews are positive against 80% of Universal Remote's.

TV Remote +ㅤ ships an update weekly, Universal Remote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
